About
Harbor Drug & Gifts, has been locally owned for over 100 years. Dave and Marcia Smith assumed ownership in the early 1990s, taking over from Dave’s parents, who acquired the store in the 1980s from George and Ed Wandell, the proprietors since the 1930s.
In 2019, Jeff Harrell, a family friend from Ilwaco, became a co-owner of Harbor Drug. Today, Harbor Drug proudly operates as a member of the Cascadia Pharmacy Group, which comprises over 30 independent, locally owned pharmacies across the Northwest.
Deeply ingrained in the fabric of Hoquiam, Harbor Drug & Gifts stands as a pillar of healthcare and community support, rallying behind numerous local causes, including a variety of local school sports and activities. We’re also proud to support Hoquaim Logger’s Play Day, the Historic 7th Street Theater, the Polson Museum, and the Hoquaim Pushrods.

It’s an honor to have served generations of families in Hoquiam. It is such fun to see the kids we once served now coming in with kids of their own.

As an independent pharmacy, Harbor Drug & Gifts prioritizes its patients above all else, consistently going above and beyond to meet their health needs. This commitment is evident through their willingness to assist with complex insurance inquiries, connect with prescribing physicians, and even brave a snow storm to host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the height of the pandemic.
